Chiron’s Wounding and Medicine
Chiron, as we all know, is where the wound lies; however, while doing my own research on other placements such as the North, South Nodes, and Lilith, I discovered something special.
Horse people will understand this. There’s a unique bond with these animals that one cannot experience outside of work with them. Chromie and I have been partners for 4 years at this point. Everyone around us consistently says things such as, “You’re the human version of Chromie, you two just mesh!” or “He’s the horse version of you! You may as well be the same person!” I’ve always wondered why that is. Can I replicate that for another pair?
It is true that the Zodiac doesn’t affect animals in the same manner as it does humans, though I did find it interesting that he’s born under my sister sign and wondered for years why that seemed to be a key that I just didn’t have a door to yet.
Now, ChatGPT doesn’t have all the answers and relying on it for all the questions of life will get one into a spot of “trouble” however, it can be a wonderfully helpful tool when used and viewed appropriately.
While I was reading about my own Chiron placement, I had a picture of Chromie that popped into my mind. It then shifted to be a profile view of us working together. Gemini working hand in hand with his sister sign, Sagittarius. Working in tandem, step for step, both of us performing with a singular goal.
That goal being, make the 2 separate beings operate and seem as if they are 1. Seamless, easy, poetry in motion.
2 completely separate species, understanding each other so well, it looks to the bystander as if we were 1 body, 1 mind, 1 heart. That’s the beauty and majesty of horses!
I was inspired to compile a list of signs Chiron falls into, their sister sign, and how the medicine of both can help navigate those weird things that Chiron touches on. Later, we’ll explore the various houses and a basic understanding of how it would show up in your life.
For now, let’s stick with just the signs themselves.
Chiron is where the wound lies, the tender spot, the pattern of doubt or pain or fear.
The sister sign (directly opposite that sign on the Zodiac wheel) holds the complementary wisdom. It reaches what the wound needs in order to feel more whole, not by erasing it, but by balancing it.
My own Chiron is in Gemini and centers around communication, being understood, and knowing my own words hold value.
The sister sign is Sagittarius, and here we find yes, my own sun, but also truth, faith, expansion, and trusting that my own voice carries meaning beyond immediate validation.
For example, Gemini Chiron can get stuck overthinking if their words are “right”.
Sagittarius reminds us that your truth has value simply because it’s yours.
Gemini Chiron fears being misunderstood, Sagittarius teaches that not everyone needs to understand you for your voice to matter. The very Sagittarian “Who cares? They'll understand, eventually.”
For now, let’s explore Chiron wounding and how we can learn to live in tandem with it, so that when it surfaces, you’ll know how to navigate this fear/pain based wound with a bit more grace and perhaps, tact.

These are thoughts and feelings that we carry much like a "mother wound", something that we work on and eventually, after enough layers have been healed, that wound simply doesn't exist anymore. But the lessons learned? The strength gained from those lessons? That's ours to keep forever!
It takes time, dedication to one's self, commitment to the God of your understanding, and faith but you do get through it! On the other side of it, you'll say, "Whoa. That was hard! Not the whole time but man, am I thrilled to be on this side of it!"
The peace that descends on the other side of a lesson, an ego death, a dark night of the soul, whatever you chose to call it, is always worth the struggle, the sacrifice, always worth confronting the pain and fear knowing it's over. That will never touch you in that same way again!
Upcoming, we'll explore the houses and how Chiron shows up in daily life depending on what house it's in and, most importantly, how to address it in an honest way with integrity and authenticity.
